The physical market had a day of stability and slow business

After showing some volatility during the day and even supporting the exchange rate, the Arabica coffee futures market ended trading this Wednesday (13th) with adjustments to prices on the New York Stock Exchange (ICE Future US).

December/23 had a drop of 5 points, trading for 151.95 cents/lbp, March/24 ended trading for 153.15 cents/lbp - no changes, May/24 had a drop of 15 points, worth 154.05 cents/lbp .

Arabica coffee was supported by the exchange rate, but the final stretch of the Brazilian harvest put pressure on prices again. Cooxupé reports that the harvest has already exceeded 96% in the cooperative's areas. The market also continues to monitor weather conditions in Brazil and the lack of rain, as well as high temperatures already raising concerns for next year.

On the London Stock Exchange, the market sustained the appreciation and ended with significant increases in conilon. November/23 had an increase of US$ 49 per ton, traded for US$ 2479, January/24 had an increase of US$ 26 per ton, worth US$ 2362, March/24 had an appreciation of US$ 16 per ton, quoted by US $ 2299 and May/24 increased by US$ 13 per ton, worth US$ 2276.

London was supported by a drop in shipments from Vietnam. Vietnam's General Department of Customs reported that Vietnam's coffee exports in the first eight months of this year (January-August) fell -5.4% year on year. The sector monitors preparations for the start of the Vietnamese harvest, which is expected to be low considering the adverse weather conditions of recent years.

The peeled cherry type fell by 0.57% in Guaxupé/MG, traded for R$ 865.00, Poços de Caldas/MG maintained stability for R$ 885.00, Varginha/MG maintained for R$ 880.00 and Campos Gerais/MG recorded a drop of 0.55%, worth R$ 902.00.

The hard drink type bica race had a drop of 0.61% in Guaxupé/MG, traded for R$ 910.00, Campos Gerais/MG had a drop of 0.59%, worth R$ 842.00, Poços de Caldas/MG maintained stability for R$ 845.00, Araguari/MG maintained it for R$ 850.00 and Varginha/MG maintained it for R$ 830.00.
