EllerS Coffee attended the 16th Swiss Coffee Trade Association (SCTA) Forum, held on October 2–3, 2025, in Basel, Switzerland, represented by Renata Eller. This year’s theme, “Unity in Complexity: Building a Smart & Connected Future,” brought together leaders from across the global coffee value chain to discuss the evolving challenges and opportunities in the green coffee trade.
Throughout two days of sessions, the forum addressed key topics such as price volatility, regulatory and traceability requirements (EUDR), and the pursuit of innovation and sustainability in an increasingly complex marketplace.
According to Renata Eller, conversations with European partners revealed that high coffee prices are directly affecting roasters and end consumers. Many companies are struggling to sustain current cost levels, leading to an observable decline in coffee consumption in some markets. In addition, financial investments are becoming more restricted, stocks are lower, and companies are opting for more cautious strategies as they navigate uncertainty.
Despite the challenges, EllerS Coffee’s participation at the SCTA Forum was a valuable opportunity to strengthen partnerships, reconnect with clients, and showcase Brazilian expertise to the international market. “These encounters are essential to listen to the market, understand its pain points and opportunities, and reaffirm Brazil’s position as a global leader in specialty coffee,” Renata noted.
The event brought together executives from major international companies, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and producers, discussing themes such as supply chain resilience, compliance versus performance, regenerative agriculture, and the future of global coffee trade relations.
Highlights of the forum included:
CEO & Leadership Dialogue: Navigating Unprecedented Uncertainty with Unprecedented Agility
Scaling Regenerative Agriculture – Can Collaboration and Tech Lead the Way?
Compliance vs. Performance – Does a Level Playing Field Drive or Hinder Progress?
Trust and Vision Under Pressure: Holding the Coffee Sector Together in Uncertain Times
EllerS Coffee continues to closely follow global market developments — connecting origins and destinations with purpose, trust, and commitment to the future of coffee.
